I am a married mother of three wonderful adult kids and believe me
I do not look like that 99.9% of the time. I live with my poor,
overworked husband just outside of a small rural town, smack dab in the
centre of a large farming community. Our youngest daughter still
lives at home but the rest of the crew has moved on.In my youth i attended Fisher Park High School in Ottawa, the Ottawa School of Art, Algonquin College and Carleton university. I lived in Ottawa until I was 20 when I moved to Kernersville, North Carolina. NC is a beautiful spot but I missed the snow and came home. Now I would love to get away from the snow.
Many years ago I was a newspaper columnist for a local paper. I also did some freelance writing and maintained several websites. I was also a recipe developer, collage artist, mixed media artist, doll maker, rosary maker, sole owner/employee of a small micro-press, bookmaker and an all around general craftsperson but that was before Anklosing Spondylitis left me with more bad days than good and a whole lot of pain. I hid for a few years, suffered the ravages of depression and let the AS and the pain get the better of me. Life sucked.Four years ago I discovered a whole new career that put art and writing on hold.... tutoring kids. I absolutely love it and will be forever thankful to Ruby, my long time friend and a teacher who suggested me to a few of her parents. Now I am the In-school tutor for St. Mary Catholic School in Chesterville, the assistant Librarian and general volunteer. I am also back into the artistic swing of things and lovin' it. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed simple drawing and pencil crayons.
In 2007 I became a grandma and this year I am thoroughly enjoying my little
guy who is, after all, the cutest little fellow in the world.
Art wise I am beading again and working on a new line of beaded watches. The little micro press is only semi-retired now and I'm working on a few projects. I don't have the time I used to and it seems to go a lot faster now that I'm older.
I am presently owned by 7 felicitous felines who enjoy helping me while I am on the computer. Mostly they just slow me down. We have one little Jack Russell Terrier named April that is afraid of her own shadow.
Well, I think this is enough of a bio. I sincerely hope you take a tour of the site and visit the recipe sites. They have some good stuff in them.
If you find any errors in spelling,
grammar, punctuation or the like, I am reasonably certain
that the cat did it.

I work with 7 curious felines who like to "help" do everything and sometimes their less than obvious contributions are missed.
Cats and kids are both gifts from God.
